Once again, the Band Company of Kernersville, NC is sponsoring the Phi Mu Alpha booth at the NCMEA in-service conference. Be sure to stop by the booth to pick up a Phi Mu Alpha name badge sticker, The Sinfonian, Red and Black, your chapter's alumni newsletter, and ensure that your address is up to date. There will also be information about the alumni association interest groups in North Carolina. Join us for food and fellowship at the Foothills Brewery on Sunday, November 9th at 6:30pm.
Brothers,
In the next few weeks, we are expecting the formation of SEVERAL alumni associations across the state. The structure of these groups will be similar in that their goal is to provide a way for alumni within a community to connect with each other and the fraternity with little time commitment. These groups will be set up in a way that requires only one business meeting per year for the purpose of elect officers and establishing 6-10 social events for the year. Events could include going to a local symphony concert, minor league baseball game, brewery, super bowl part, etc.
Dear Brothers:
It is with mixed feelings that I write to you today. For the past nine years I have had the distinct honor and pleasure of serving as your governor but this upcoming province workshop will be my last as your governor. This decision has come after much internal debate and consultation with my family and my brothers.
Hotel information for the 2008 Province 20 Workshop is now available. Check it out here.
Discounted rates are good until January 15th.
As many of you know, Nick Lindsey is stepping down as PAC at the end of the semester. Nick has done a fantastic job as PAC, working with all of you to provide better outreach to your alumni. Nick has also increased the attendance at our annual NCMEA dinner (this year we had over 80 brothers) and has made the NCMEA exhibit booth something we can all be proud of. Please join me in thanking Nick for everything he has done for Phi Mu Alpha and Province 20.
